Nicole Ari Parker, an American actress who has been featured in films and on television, and on stage is best known for her role as Teri Joseph, the fiery attorney in the show on Showtime called Soul Food. Following her wedding, she was Nikki Kodjoe. Her acting talent was evident from childhood. In a Maryland high-school competition awarded her the best actress award. The path to acting began when she worked in the Washington Ballet Company and the theater. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love brought her an award for best-in-class roles. This was immediately followed by other films like "Boogie Nights Spark, Blue Streak". The TV series Soul Food' was immensely appreciated. Her TV appearances included Second Time Around and Empire. Prior to that she appeared in a variety of stage productions. Parker, a politician who also takes an active role in the world of fashion and acting is married Boris Kodjoe. The couple have two daughters.
Contractor who was brought up by his parents from Nigeria and Mumbai before he turned 7, had traveled across the globe and lived through many cultures as a child. At the age of seven until nine, Contractor went to boarding school in London. Her family then moved to Toronto where she lived throughout her early years. Contractor achieved academic success at the University of Toronto Toronto in addition to her training as the ballerina. In the Etobicoke School of the Arts (a public high school specializing in the arts), Contractor studied both ballet and theater. Contractor aged 16 at the time she realized that performing would become her profession. She danced for over a decade. After graduating high school, she accepted a full scholarship to at the University of Toronto, where she completed a masters degree in the field of theatre, and a double major in psychology and sociology. After a single year at University, Contractor went to an audition on a call-to-action basis for the play Pericles in the highly regarded, world-renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and was offered the leading role. Her work was highly acclaimed for the 92 shows which she was a part of. She was awarded the award in 2002 for the Best Production of the Year from Canadian Critics. The conservatory at Stratford accepts eight men with four females, as well as a few other people for a 20 weeks of crash courses. Contractor's participation in the next play-season was confirmed and she was cast in the role in Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
